Waiting... not so patiently

I just pre-ordered Vampire Weekend's new album (entitled "Contra") on iTunes and I am anxiously awaiting the Jan. 12 release date. I am so excited they are finally coming out with something new because I've already memorized about every one of their songs to date! Any Vampire Weekend fans out there?

Christmas Eve

This is the outfit I wore to Christmas Eve dinner (but I added a long owl neclace, black leggings, and black slouchy boots for warmth/modesty).
One of my favorite parts of the outfit is the headband. I love these types of rag-esque 40/50's headbands but can't seem to find them anywhere, so I made one for myself out of an old t-shirt scrap :) Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas Eve with family!

THE find

I was Christmas shopping yesterday and decided to pop into Crossroads, my local consignment store, and got a very cute waist belt (its the thing that looks like a seatbelt). And the vintage, Dooney & Bourke beauty sitting behind it cost me only $9 dollars. I love consignment stores! I gave myself a major pat on the back after finding this one; and at that price! It was definitely a good day.

Black and White

I don't know what it is about black and white, but they can make even an outfit with the simplest construction look sophisticated. I love them a little bit too much, and my mom complains that I have no color in my wardrobe, but I can't think of a better combination than black and white!Any thoughts?

Falling in love with Lover

I just happen to come across these shots while browsing Nylon and I absolutely adore them! They are from Lover's Spring 2010 collection and I just can't get enough of the whimsical and lacy dresses (my favorite is the first one)! I seem to have trouble connecting with runway looks because they just seem so unattainable, but I feel like this collection is so wearable. The designers behind Lover are the australian duo Susien Chong and Nic Brand. Definitely will be checking out their gorgeous lines in the future. Enjoy :)
