I finally got around to taking a quick picture of this cardigan! It is so comfy and the pattern is vibrant (and photographs nicely).

Espana
A few photos from my trip to Spain.
Nam from Streetfsn gave me some tips for taking street style photos, but I was too chicken to approach strangers and ask them for a picture, so I had to settle for sharing these beautiful photos of scenery and buildings :)
Mont Serrat...
Madrid
Madrid- Parque del Retiro (one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited!)

School Street Style and School
I am starting to take street style photos of my friends and other classmates and am hoping to start up a street style blog on my high school newspaper's website. If I eventually get it started up I will share some photos with you guys.
Maybe its just me but I think personal style is really interesting. What a person wears reflects not only their personality, but how they feel about themselves. Crossing my fingers that my advisor approves the idea!

Art Inspiration: Andy Warhol
I watched a documentary on Andy Warhol yesterday and it was really fascinating. He is such an interesting guy. I never realized how influential he was in his turbulent time. Sidenote: I don't quite understand my fascination with the 1960's and 70's... It probably has something to do with my being a teenager, and seeing what power the youth of that time period had over culture and politics. Not to mention so many great artists and musicians came out of the "era of free" (freedom of speech, freedom to protest, free drugs, free-thinking, free hugs anyone?)
Back to Andy: There was a segment in the documentary about his films and I love his reason for making ones of sleeping people or people doing other simple things in slow motion: he wants to shed a light on time, and its meaning and value.
I want to make art like this some day. Art that makes people stop and think. Art that makes people slow down their busy lives to enjoy the moment...
Happy Monday.

Stolen From Grandma
Claire from Stolen from Grandma has great style. She always seems to be able to make vintage look new and cool which ceases to amaze me. There aren't many vintage stores in my area and the clothes that these few stores do have are frumpy. I do have luck with vintage jewelry though! I absolutely love turqouise and I have been lucky enough to have been able to find some beautiful Native American turquoise. In fact most of my favorite pieces are Native American.

Sketchy
... the result of my midnight burst of energy last night.
And I finally got around to finishing a sketch that I started of Frassy.
I'm not sure what's up with the weird lighting... I promise it looks better/less blurry in person.

Fire and Ice (trimmed with fur)
Tousled Tresses
[framboise fashion]

I love Chanel Iman's romantic, tousled side bun and the perfectly messy hair of the models in the last two photos. It is so hard to get the tousled look for everyday, though, without looking sloppy. I run into this challenge every time I try to coax my hair into this style. There is definitely a fine line between polished waves, and just-got-out-of-bed rumpled locks. So I ask dear readers, how do you get the perfect, tousled do?
