Look Magazine Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show
Look Magazine in the UK held a fashion show during fashion week that showcased some widely known (like H&M) and lesser known (like Warehouse) designers. These were my favorites!
The look in this runway photo is from French Connection. I love the great structure in the shoulders of this sequin dress. It's flashy but simple and not too over-the-top.
This is a good everyday look from H&M. I love the navy trench with the olive/army green accents, and the way the sleeves of the shirt peek out from underneath the coat.
This leather dress from Oasis is so cute with its one shoulder design and loose(er) fit (more flattering than skin-tight leather). I absolutely love it paired with the booties! Its clean, plain, simple, but the leather gives it a little kick.
I am dying over this gorgeous Warehouse dress! It looks so effortless and I love the print (it reminds of acid wash)! I love it too for its unique draping and (what I imagine would be) flattering fit.

Show Your Teeth
The key to pulling off the trend for everyday is choosing one piece to wear in animal print and keeping the rest of the outfit simple with clean lines. Here's a little collection of recent ways people have worn/styled the trend (with a little inspiration mixed in):

Cape Town
[i've got a lust for life]
This outfit is like one walking trend report. There is the cape which we saw everywhere on the fall runways. Then there's the olive green color of the cape which is an echo of last years military trend and this years neutral trend. And the pop of animal print in the scarf is so hot this season. Then finally you have the lace up/fold over booties which everyone has been raving about (even though I am not exactly a fan).
The Sweater of the Season
I love this Rick Owens cardigan because its chunky without being shapeless.

I love the way she paired it with these leather leggings. So cute!

These two looks are from Julian Louie's Fall 2010 collection. The collection is mostly simple shapes with little embellishments and texture changes here and there.
How cool are these wedges? Julian Louie designed them (with the help of Aldo) for his Spring 2011 collection. I love the ikat print!

Vanilla Scented
And from her inspiration... a blazer with amazing construction! I absolutely love it. It's the type of thing that would be born from a collaboration between Lanvin and Chloe.

Speaking of Lanvin, they are collaborating with H&M on a collection that debutes in 51 days! How cool is that! I can't wait to check it out in stores.
