Found these fun sandals at Forever 21 a few weeks ago. I can't wait for summer so that I can get some use out of them :)





And I picked up this recycled tote while I was out and about a few weeks ago too because I fell in love with the butterfly details.

Red Pants

Wore my red pants today! I pulled out this old t-shirt from the back of my closet to wear with them.
The weather was really gloomy today, and its only going to get worse tomorrow... I am so ready for spring and summer! Anyone else?

 The top that I'm wearing is actually the Forever 21 dress that I wore in this post :) It is definitely one of the most versatile pieces that I own. And I love love love these cat-eye sunglasses! Happy Saturday!

A quick photo of the parka and scarf combo that I've been digging. The scarf is from H&M and its a really pretty coral color that pops nicely with the olive green of the parka (I know it probably seems like it, but I swear I don't wear this parka everyday!) The photo is a little fuzzy because it was getting dark and my photographer (aka my impatient sister) was getting antsy. I'll take a better photo of this little combo eventually but right now I am swamped with homework.

Today was one of those rare, perfect days... I'm at the beach with my family for the weekend and the weather happens to be absolutely gorgeous and I happen to be wearing my new favorite outfit (above). Not to mention I got to spend time with my mom and dad and not think about school or homework or anything else. As you can see its past 11:00 pm and I am still up trying to milk this perfect day of every last second.

My Jewelry Solution

Jewelry can be frustrating. Necklaces always tend to get tangled with each other and I feel like I am constantly looking for the match to an earring. One day I was staring at the framed bulletin boards where I pin inspiration photos (which I haven't updated in probably 6 months) and I thought, why not use it to hang earrings and necklaces. And so that's exactly what I did! I pin inspiration photos to the corkboard with sewing pins, then hang my necklaces and earrings from them. This method is so functional, and makes it really easy for me to just slip on a necklace or a pair of earrings when I am running late (which is much too often). Give it a try, and tell me how it works out!

Shorts-Forever21, Top-Lefties

Just got these shorts from Forever 21 like a week ago. They are nautical so of course I love them!

I'm working on upping the quality of my outfit photos. It is so hard because it is either a self-timer situation (like these photos) or a wait-till-my-grumpy-sister-finishes-her-homework situation, and its frustrating because neither of those allow me to control quality. But I'm working on it.

I took the photo below while frantically running down my street trying to catch a gorgeous sunset.

REMIX Challenge Update

Sorry folks, but I've decided to postpone my proposed REMIX Challenge. I didn't realize when I suggested it that it would take so much time! With school I just can't photograph outfit remixes and get my homework done. Unfortunately in this evil world homework is more important; depressing, but unavoidable. There will still be the usual weekly outfit posts though!

Keeping my eyes open for a chiffon skirt (either long, like the first photo, or short, like the second) in a coral color. I think I'm leaning towards the shorter skirt but can't decide... Thoughts?

I adore this outfit because its feminine and kind of funky. The shoes and the textured sweater give it a little edge. And you can never go wrong with a wide-brimmed hat like the one she's sporting. Love it!
